Daily School Procedures

The School day commences at 8:45 am. Parents/Guardians are asked to see that their children are at School on time. The School day concludes at 3:10pm.

Late Arrival for School

Students will report to the Office to sign in. There will be a record kept of late students. Late students are expected to have a note for being late.

Early Leavers/ Appointments

As far as possible, all appointments, etc. are to be made OUTSIDE SCHOOL HOURS. Students must present a note from parents/guardians outlining the reason for leaving and during Roll Call have it signed by their Year Coordinator. When the student leaves, they must go to the Office, give their note and sign out. Permission is not granted automatically and may be denied.

Illness at School

Students who become ill at school are to get permission from their teacher to go to the Office/ sick bay where they will be provided with attention, admitted to sick bay or have their parents contacted. If a student is so ill that it warrants the student going home, this will only be arranged if the parents can first be contacted by phone.

Absence Notes

When students are absent, parents are asked to notify the College, and on the child’s return to the school, to provide a letter giving the reason for the absence and date/s of same. This note is to be given to the Roll Call Teacher.

Absences

If it is known in advance that a student is going to be absent, we ask parents to inform the College so that the staff concerned can be notified and arrangements can be made for work to be given to the student to complete during their absence. If parents would like students to be away for a prolonged absence (3 or more days), they should contact the Office for appropriate forms.
